A prolific songwriter, Jeb Barry has written over 2000 songs that roam through all styles of music.
Jeb first gained attention in the last 1980's and early 1990's in the power pop group The Typicals.
Their first release, 1989's Popscreams, featured seven Barry originals. The Typicals recorded two more releases; 1990's The Poverty Sessions tape and the 1991 live in-studio cassette.
The Poverty Sessions garnered the group, now down to a trio of Barry, O'Neill and drummer Sean Baker, major label interest from DGC Records. "They loved the music, but said we sounded too much like a band they had just signed, called Nirvana" said Jeb. Several telephone calls and tape swaps continued between Gary Gersh's assistant Cindi Peters until Jeb grew disgusted with the process and stopped returning their calls.
Since 2002 Jeb has recorded six self-releases at O'Neill's Homebrew Studio in North Adams, Massachusetts. Arid (2002), Pale Addictions (2002), Live at the Common Grounds (2003), and drenched (2004) and as a solo artist blue (2003) and never been to california" (2004)
