Herd of Oxen
Welcome to the world of 8-BIT(ch.) an "eclec-tronic" musician trying to get to a point where he can make his music pay the bills. Something we can all identify with. Basically, he's an idiot with a laptop that doesn't want to go to work. Listen to music!
Why this name?
8-bit is a sub-genre of electronic music that i enjoy immensely, and wanted to be a part of. I had originally scrapped this name after several attempts at making this kind of music, but after realizing that i shouldn't be trying to attach myself to any one style, i decided 8-BIT(ch.) was a kickass name and i was gonna use it anyway.
Do you play live?
I haven't played live yet, no. BOOK ME!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
A lot of people say that it's easier now than ever to get your stuff out there. I disagree. Now that it's so easy to put your music up on a site, EVERYONE is doing it. So now it's harder than ever to wade through the B.S. and get to the good stuff. But hey, if it weren't for the internet, about 90% of the music i listen to, i would never have heard. So i don't know, i suppose it's a good thing.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
As long as they let me put out what i want, absolutley.

Aphex Twin, Cex, Venetian Snares, Frog Pocket, Autechre, Blaerg, Mouse on Mars, throw all that into a big blender...that's me.
