Doctor Memory
NEWS
..::2008 UPDATE::..
About 18 months ago, a situation arose and plans changed. That's it in a nutshell. Music took a backburner and online time was reduced. SC visits became few and far between. Fortunately, mastering projects still continued. An opportunity arose to join the Anubis Spire auxiliary, as well as to become the token Canadian in Acrylic Prism. Thanks to everyone who stopped by these pages during the downtime! Every attempt (however slothlike) will be made to get caught up again. In the meantime, here are some further DM links, should anyone feel so inclined to check out:

The Mother Fakirs, remain strikingly DM-esque..... you be the judge:

Why this name?
Doctor Memory is a running joke amongst a group of old friends. It stems from the brilliant writing of The Firesign Theatre.
Do you play live?
Hmmmnn..... I guess I am playing live again.....
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It has made it easier for people to find those musical gems that aren't available on major labels.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I honestly can't see a major label being interested in what I'm doing.
Band History:
A selective romp down Doctor Memory lane.....
Nahanni - with Hal, Roland and Garnet - where it all began, so long ago.....
This Pure Desire (cum Disaster) - there are still some cassettes floating around.....
Starblanket - a semistable gigging band - with more cassettes.....
Making Big Pictures - an evolved recording and gigging version of Starblanket.....
House of Giants - gigging band - six years with the same four guys.....
Cybermonkey - an active member until January /05 - peripheral involvement now.....
Doctor Memory - alea jacta est.....
