Hard Rock-Punk Band from Toronto
Band History:
When Max Snipes, a formidable veteran of the Punk scene, joined forces with a variety of Hard Rock and Metal musicians an explosive new fusion of Hard Punk Rock erupted. And since the inception of the Liquor Pigs in 1994, this new realm in punk has raged on. The Toronto-based band too many shows to count from Toronto to Montreal and beyond.

Historical highlights for the Liquor Pigs include the independent release of their BLOOD, SWEAT & BEERS CD in 1998, and the DT’S FOR JESUS CD in 2001. They’ve also shared the bill with such notorious bands Nashville Pussy, Teenage Head and headlined the Spider Land Punkfest. Most recently the band has shared the stage with the Forgotten Rebels, the BFG’s and Maria Del Mar.

BLOOD, SWEAT & BEERS proved to be a successful follow up to the 1997 LIQUOR PIGS cassette, gaining the Liquor Pigs a larger following and radio play on the Ryerson and U of T college stations. The band then ventured on to Montreal and Ottawa and Success struck again with BLOOD, SWEAT & BEERS hitting the top 10 on Ottawa College radio. Songs from the CD were featured in “Deep Inside Clint Star” an independent Canadian film. Several tracks were also included in the independent Canadian film “The Good Mark”.

Since the release of the Liquor Pigs 2nd CD, DT’S FOR JESUS, which packed 14 all new aggressive songs, charted high on various college radio stations across Ontario & Quebec. And with their ever-increasing fan-base pushing for more the Pigs are contemplating the workings of a new CD to be released in 2004. With a change in personnel (Bassist Dave Croft may have fallen of the bus, but Jimi the Dogg brought a new zeal to the band)
The Current line-up boasts Max Snipes on Lead Vocals, Peter Jansen on Lead Guitar, Roach on Bass, Glen “DR. Bob” Poplestone on Drums
