I am a one man Techno machine from Beaverton, Oregon, a suburb of Portland. I've been playing music for about 11 years now. I started on Bass guitar at the ripe age of 15, and now I play knobs and buttons. Go figure.
Why this name?
It stands for Dirty D ( D being for Dan, my first name). I've got a fetish for distortion, thus the term "dirty".
Do you play live?
I Play mostly private parties, but have been known to play at the Ohm, and the Level in downtown Portland.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The audience is limitless, as well as the market. You can have millions of people hear music that they may have never even heard of before if it wasn't for the internet.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If they give me an offer I can't refuse.
Your influences?
I have a very diverse musical background. I enjoy anything from Classical and Jazz, to Rock, Industrial, and pretty much anything electronic. As a producer, my biggest influence has to be Trent Reznor. It sounds cliche', but he really is a genius.
Favorite spot?
My favorite city is, was, and forever will be Portland, Oregon, my home town.
Equipment used:
Reason 2.5, and Reaktor 4.0
