This is a funkadelicious trip Al! Groovin' backer gives off energy that makes the lead instruments wanna wail! And JR has some cool effects on the guitar. Absolutely killer!
Wow Al your music is like a box of chocolates, so many flavors and varieties in every mix! Great stuff man! Can't just listen once gotta listen several times and then still don't catch all the excellence you pack into ever tune! Just fabulous!
Delicious intro with slapbass and B3! Love the brasswork and the exelent guitarwork from JR! And the elegant halfnote'glide' at2.20 mark from JR's guitar to the sax is very good:)
Love the hanging/bending notes you produce with the sax!
Killer vocalwork all over. Killer sound aswell.
Well done both of you Al and JR!
Killing it right out of the gate. Serious groove with the right amount of space. Funkadelic sound, Al you continue to amaze! Guitars from space, towering horns, poppin' bass, and that sax... YOW!
Wow! What a fantastic/whimsical play in all the aspects!...
Yeah, you are the real King of Funk, Al!
I'm greatly impressed - I'm taking my hat off...

PS: Have shared the track on my FB page. :)
..... Ha, the first bars of the intro brought me back to James Brown´s great band ( what a nice clean funky guitar riff..!! ), then the "Ascenzion's vintage funk horn section"... great impulse and grooving sustain.... wonderful.
An extremely well placed in scene guitar lead part of the master JR. Burney, first class mix of the guitar. Once again a sparkling slap bass work, and hey what about the sax...? Pristine!! Loved the sax lines starting at about 4:14, truely excellent.
Perfect outro and stop ( really clever ), ..."OK?" ;)
You didn´t forget anything to get a great valuable track my friend.
Al, my applause for an impeccable professional new ( kinda 70´s vintage ) track, you surely know how to put your music inspiration into a classy production, a very good deliver and collab, my hat off to you gents!! :D
I went to the city just the other day, just hear what my good buddy Ascenzion say, ah ddddddont know bout you? this tune got me tappin my shoes... all together now... Mmmmmake my Funk the Al funk aaah want's to get funked up, ugggh. uh-huh-ah said make my funk da Al funk, I just gotta get funked up, wassup, wassup, wassup , wassup, uh huh, I said get down uh huh.. It's the only funk in town.
I ain't never heard funk like this, it's in a league of it's own, mind bogglingly creative, expertly played and arranged.
The sax on a key change is super cool, but so are the myriad of other things going on with this,I'd be here all day. Major track from a major talent.
Wow, this is just the heart of funk with such a very specific 70's feeling in it. It's making me move and wanting such a 70's party in the real time (the past) instead of the retro stuff, although I recognize modern times in making this track.
But I don't want to see it, am just longing so very much to the 70's. Wow, that groove is so fantastic! And that positive vibe and energy that is often so missing nowadays.
Fantastic Al, hitting so much the 70's!
I just chuckle to myself while listening to this funk masterpiece. Great arrangement, love the sax and JR's guitar work but the highlight is the vocal tracks. Awesome Al.
A seriously Funky track. Straight back to the 70s. Love the horns, great riffing. The guitar solo hits you straight there then into a key change and your Alto solo. Brill. Nice to add a bit of rap into the mix too. Super cool complex rhythm and arrangement. Again a superb track Al. How you do it i don't know. Excellent!!!
Great funky song from you, Al. It really makes your feet start tapping and your head start nodding. Wonderful sounds all around. That bass sounds just right and so does the guitar. Very nice production. This piece has a lot of musical references, but you managed to create your very own blend of genres and make it work perfectly!
Commenting on Funkitatious has exhausted my Funkabulary and finding myself far from readjusted when you hit me with this track, I am somewhat lost for words but believe I may have achieved Ascenzion. Make my funk the Al funk. I need to lie down now but shall without doubt return for more enlightenment when I have recovered. Awesome Al - That's your new knickname :)
Your talent is quite staggering Al. This track transported me back in time to the days of Parliament etc. You have captured the vibe perfectly. I'm picking out instruments to comment on how awesome they sound, and the way they all slide into harmonious relationships and before I can formulate a coherent sentence, another section hits me between the eyes and I'm ga ga - Totally and utterly Magnificent Musicianship.
Funktastic, Funkalicious, they said it all,if you love funk, just come here first, nothing else a can touch it, the cool and natural way this was put together is stunning, sounds easy don't it ? That's the mark of greatness, Nile Rogers never made it this far. Awesome
