K, well i go by the name of eSSence n i'm a 17 year old lad from England. I've got a passion for hip-hop whether its US or UK n its my dream to make it in the industry..I wanna share my music with the world n i believe i'v got the talent to do so, in tracks i just stick to myself, no lies, no bullshit...What else can i be..Anyones check it out n let me know what you think..
Why this name?
I chose the name eSSence because it means "the most important ingredient"...Also my initials are ss that being the reason why they are in capitals..
Do you play live?
No..not yet..i've only just began recording etc...but the futures looking bright..
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It can be good and bad..good because it gives unsigned artists the chance to get noticed..bad for the artists who have already made it...you know..people downloadin instead of buyin..
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Would depend on the circumstances...
Your influences?
I started listen to rap at about 8 but was into more commmercial hip hop and artists such as 2pac, Nas, Eminem, Dmx, Ja Rule!! etc...but lately i've started listenin to and feelin UK hip hop more...And artists such as Lowkey, Klashnekoff, Taskforce, Chester P, Kano r reppin right now...
