Hmmm, always been a bit thrown by this question. I like a lot of bands/artists but whether they influenced me, I have no idea. For example, some people hear influences in my playing of people I haven't actively tried to absorb.

So apart from Eddie Van Halen who was my idol and chief influence, I am unsure just who has influenced me so I will just name favourite artists of mine. Hopefully in doing so, I will be naming those whose style or approach I have incorporated somewhat.
