I grew up in Arkansas and moved to Nashville 2 years ago. I love music, always have. I started playing guitar when I was 17. Michelle Branch's song Everywhere turned me onto wanting to learn and low and behold I did. Music is my passion and I love other artists music who are passionate about theirs, like Vanessa Carlton, Michelle Branch, Jessica Harp, Dana Glover, and Chalee Tennison to name a few. So now I'm living in Nashville and have started my own publishing company, Cocktails and Guitars Music and am represented by ASCAP. I Hope you enjoy the songs.
Why this name?
It's just me, I used my name. I know we have a creative genious on our hands.
Do you play live?
Yeah....it makes me nervous. I'm working on that....
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's revolutionary. The internet has changed the way we listen to music. I've learned about so many artists just because of it. It has it's downfalls with illegal downloading but the upside is amazing.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
sure.
Band History:
Let's see, it's pretty much just me and my guitar!
Your influences?
I love the acoustic sound. That's what you'll find in my mp3's. I'm a big fan of Michelle Branch, Vanessa Carlton, I also like Jessica Harp, I recently discovered her music and it's really amazing. Chalee Tennison is another amazing artist I love as well. Her originals are fabuous. I'm into whatever kind of music I can relate to and get. I find I enjoy the artists who do it for the music, it's real, so I get it.
