Hello,
My name is Joey Vellucci and I am guitarist/leader of the Joey Vellucci Band. We are a 3 to 4 pc. band that play 2 to 3 times a week at nightclubs, concerts, casinos,festivals and private functions. We rely heavy on impovisational music and blend all styles of music to create our own "musical stew". We also have vocals in the band too however we have played all night instrumentally and have kept dance floors packed, not an easy thing to do..

Why this name?
When I started the band the agent that booked my on our first gigs did not know the name, so he just put down Joey Vellucci Band, the club advertised it as such and thats how it all started.
Do you play live?
I have been a live performer for over 25 years playing all over the United States of America. I play about 150 nights a year with my band and as much as 250 nights a year sometimes however I like to stay close to home these days as I also write music for Television and Films. How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think in a positive way it lets the music become more accessible to people and it also gives up and coming or even established artist another outlet to share there music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes I would providing the label had good distribution and could sell some CD's.
Band History:
The Joey Vellucci Band started gigging in 2001 and has been very busy since it started...we play all kinds of music and we love to improvise.
Your influences?
I am influenced by everything in life.
Favorite spot?
I love New York City and I love playing around Boston
