Shoes. Cheese. Hair. Wax.

More obscure than obscure, Shoemusik was perhaps never intended for public consumption. However, music this unique can only be held back for so long before it needs some type of sick audience.

Shoemusik was made by several very bored, overcaffienated, casio-crazed teens in the dark years of the late 80's. The backing music was performed live on several Casio keyboards by Shoeboy P., and made-up-on-the-spot lyrics were sung by Shoegirl K. The whole thing was always recorded live-to-boombox in one take. Occasionaly, Shoeboy J. would stop by and add to the racket. This was done primarily to amuse themselves afternoons after school, as well as to torture Shoegirl K.'s poor mother, whose weary voice can be heard on many recordings.

These tracks represent merely the tip of the Shoemusik iceberg, as literally hundreds of tracks were recorded between 1986-1990. Hopefully, most of these lost "gems" will be cleaned up and made available on a massive MP3 disc sometime in the near future.

The former Shoemusicians have since gone on to successful carreers in the synthetic footwear industry, and wish to remain anonymous.
