Pickpocket Records is a predominantly hip-hop artist record label that is trying to come up in the Music Industry. The rappers and singers are of all ages ranging from 8 to 18 so far. We try to keep our songs clean and creative, and hope to make it big very soon.
Why this name?
I don't even know, I just came up with it one day, liked it, and kept it.
Do you play live?
We are going to start running a string of talent shows and benefit programs all around the Philadelphia area.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think that the internet and MP3 certainly change the music industry, by pushing release dates up, they are both a negative and positive affect on the music industry. Some artists' album sales are hurt and drop drastically due to MP3s that are streamed and downloaded worldwide.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No doubt. I'm hungry for a record deal with a major label. But if it doesn't come, I can live without it...
Your influences?
Musical influences for me are Stevie Wonder, Eminem, and Tupac. I really like to listen to how they do their music, and I follow after how they mature.
Favorite spot?
I love Philly...
Anything else...?
