play lo-fi play hi-fi  I Want to be There...
If Rob Zombie, John Lennon, Supertramp and the Cars went on an inter-galactic space voyage that spanned generations and their offspring started a band; it would sound alot like BMX.....
Why this name?
We're all sci-fi heads and the name seemed like we could have alot of fun with it.
Do you play live?
We play out quite reguarly throughout New England and have such a blast playing together. A cool show to note was recently we had our 7th Annual Halloween party and we all dressed up as crazy cannibals and started the show with a ritualistic native dance to a bongo intro. What a riot!!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think that Internet record promotion has done quite a bit to put a few cards back into the little guys deck. It's all out there if your driven enough to pursue it , it's possible to sell albums and create a buzz about your music on the Web.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probally not(unless there was a stretch limo and super models included in the deal). I've seen many of my friend's bands work thier asses off recording and supporting an album only to have it shelved. It's hard to bounce back from that kind of frustration and they usually come out of it owing some cash. If at all possible cut out the middle-man and make the money yo' dang self.
Band History:
We've all been drinking buddies for years and when all our bands simultaneously broke up we decided it was time to play together. Shawn we picked up from a UFO crash site outside Burlington, VT.
Your influences?
I hate this question. I've listened to Miles Davis to Handel- Peter Tosh to Skinny Puppy and everything in between and outside of that. I think it would be more entertaining for you to listen to our music and try to figure out where our influences lie.....
Equipment used:
Our keyboard player has a smokin' Korg Triton and we use a sampler from time to time. Whatever it takes to get that 'perfect' sound.
