Ive been at this for about 5 years now....been with a couple groups in the past, now just flyin solo. My focus is to produce music that actualy says something about my feelings on certain issues and hopefully my listeners will be able to relate to it. Im I initially started making music in albuquerque, nm where I helped found a label called madik productions, now called alumni studios.
Why this name?
I bring a message of light in darkness in the *wake* of the prohpets who came before me to "wake" up the minds of those trapped by the current state of society.1
Do you play live?
I have played live many times from youth gatherings and music festivals throughout nm,az,tx,and co, Ive done shows for outreaches to rehab programs in tn and wv, and Ive dont several "battles of the bands" in nm and one at west virginia wesleyan college. live shows is where its at, no feeling like it.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it changes the underground music industry very positively, its free exposure for artists that might not otherwise get any.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
yeah, I believe I would, as long as the contract was right. Id want to maintain final creative control, but I know Id have to settle with creative control subject to the approval of an a&r.
Band History:
already been said, I believe.
Your influences?
Rakim, Guru, Black Thought, Wu-Tang, aesop rock, tunnel rats, cross movement, prince, stevie wonder, jeru the damaja, shoot, really too many to name.
