Hi my real name is Latifah Taylor and my stage name is also Latifah Taylor.
Why this name?
I chose to keep my name because it is me, it represents who I am; Just Me (get it?!)
Do you play live?
I haven't performed anywhere live as of yet; but look forward to seeing me real soon my album will be out in February!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It already has, it allows anyone with internet to access world wide distribution.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Only if some kind of distribution and ownership is involved.
Band History:
I dont' really have much history besides singing around the house and to my son when he was a baby. Oh can't forget about the National Anthem I performed when I was 12yrs old at Victory Stadium!
Your influences?
Mary J Blige, Kelly Price, Aretha Franklin(which my mom always said I sounded like), India Arie, Alicia Keys...and much much more!
Favorite spot?
Too many to name, but Philly of course cause it's my hometown; honestly though I've been all over!

I'm new to this business so I learn something new everyday. I never thought I would be at this point so the excitment never ends for me.Besides I work with a team, correction, a family of people who support, encourage,and give honest opinions about my work. I feel blessed...to put it lightly!
