Paige 23 is an accomplished pop/rock indie band based in NYC. In January 2002, the band relased Let Yourself Fall, an album showcasing their ability to create instant radio hits. Paige 23 is currently being marketed to cable TV networks, film companies, and record labels.
Anything else...?
After winning a BMG scholarship songwriting contest, Paige (guitars/vox), decided she wanted some company for her music career. Angelo Catalano (drums, percussion) was first to join the band. A twist of fate landed Carmine Guida the role of bass player. Good things always come in threes.
Over the past 3 years, the band has released two albums, landed radio airplay, signed a publishing deal and produced two videos. They completed Let Yourself Fall without the backing of a major or indie label and celebrated the CD's release at the Hard Rock Cafe in Manhattan early this year.
Paige 23 is currently gigging throughout New York - from the clubs in the East Village to the trendy cafes in Binghamton and Ithaca - building their fan base, driving CD sales, and making a name for themselves. They were recently part of a tour sponsored by Clear Channel Communications and Q104.3's "Out of the Box" program and performed at the Meadowlands in NJ. P23 also just performed at BB King's Blues Club as part of a four city tour sponsored by ZMusic in L.A.
You may have already heard Paige 23 on WAXQ 104.3, WLIR 92.7, WUSB 90.1, WHCP 90.3, and WICB 97.1, or seen them at The Hard Rock Cafe, The Continental, CBGB's 313 Gallery, The Sidewalk Cafe, The Baggot Inn, Baby Jupiter, or The C-Note.
Paige 23's accomplishments emphasize the band's flair for songwriting:
1. Run, Run (Too Far From Me) - winner of the BMG songwriting contest.
2. You Couldn't Stop Me - placed in the top 100 in Billboard's songwriting contest.
3. No Words - quickly climbed to #13 in the pop/rock charts on MP3.com.
4. No Words - Track of the Day on Garageband.com
5. Love You Anyway - chosen for the Ladies Lounge compilation CD.
