Let's Go
I am not so much a band as a songwriter/composer for a large variety of music. I am an experienced drummer and pianist with some guitar skills. I am a music producer for some local bands in Utah Valley and the founder and owner of dzstudios. Most music posted here is completely written, performed, recorded and mixed by me.
Do you play live?
I play shows for different bands around Utah Valley. I play in a variety of bands from Big Band Jazz to folk to Rock.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
If it isn't already obvious, the internet is now an essential tool for the music industry.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes
Band History:
I grew up in Utah studying Piano and Percussion. I have played with many different local bands and I absolutley love playing live. I have a Bachelors of Music in Media Music from Brigham Young University with an emphasis on Percussion.
Your influences?
Great drummers that influence me are Dave Garibaldi (Tower of Power), Steve Smith (Journey and solo albums), Dave Weckl, Steve Gadd, Buddy Rich and other amazing drummers. I am a fan of bands like U2, Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Collective Soul, and many more.
Equipment used:
I am Sonar 4, PC based (and it rocks). I use a Delta 1010 lt sound card, Behringer UB2442FX-Pro mixer, MAudio BX5 monitors, Roland XV5050 and Yamaha PSR 540 sound modules. I also use Cyclone and Melodyne 2.5 for cool audio effects. I use SM58, SM57, MK-012-01, MK 319 and Audix D6 mics. More recently I have been using Drums on Demand Drum loops and sounds. (I am part of the Drums on Demand Team)
