Why this name?
I'm half Native American...Maidu is the tribe name. Friends gave it to me.
Do you play live?
I have played live and want to play live but I got to find a actual group first...(for Trip Hop)
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think record labels and artists lose money from "illegal" downloads from the internet. BUT the flip side is it also promotes the artist crazy...so they probably make up the lost sales in the free publicity. So basically I say whatever happens, happens.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
The "right" label, the "right" deal then hell yeah.
Your influences?
I'm a true underground hip hop head...I love Wu-Tang (and Killa Bees), Cypress Hill, Funkdoobiest, Triple 6 Mafia, Dr. Dre, and myself. As far as trip hop, there are alot of trip hop groups I like but no one, I mean NO ONE can compare to my all time favorite...PORTISHEAD.
Favorite spot?
50% of my heart is in Chula Vista...25% is in Sac-Town and the rest is in London! I LOVE London.
Equipment used:
Reason is my baby yo. I LOVE Reason...along with about 50,000 samples. ASR-X, Roland Groovebox and Fruityloops Studio. Evolution keyboard and M-Audio digital sound card with M-Audio studio monitors. Also I use dual monitors, which is DOPE with Reason.
