Cool beginning with nice acoustic guitar, bass and subdued vocals from Maria. Then all hell breaks loose with blistering guitar and those powerhouse vocals. Nice!
No one bothered with this one but I like it,I like the southern rock aspect to it,I'm happy with the arrangement and guitar tone. As a singer and song writer Maria Daines is
in a class of her own, with talent like that it's easy to play along to. Over and out.
Maria, ALL of your music is VERY good, but this song hits a "chord" in the basic human spirit like none other I have heard from you. The melody and lyrics are beautiful. The guitar work is excellent and your voice is like that of an angel. I love your rock and blues but this song reaches and haunts the soul. Thanks for caring about animals, Lew Dawg Cloninger, The Stray Dawgs
Great production and nice title. Maria's s vocals shine here and are magnificent and heart breaking - great passion and power! Beautifully done Maria and Paul!
Having worked in nursing homes, I've seen the very elderly "shut down" like this due to decades of losses of loved ones. Friends gone. Parents and siblings gone. Sometimes even their own children. This song shares those feelings ever so well. Vocals couldn't be more soulful and the musical arrangement and performances enhance the subject matter really well. Top shelf production to boot. Wonderful work on this heartfelt song.
Very cool guitar intro and pads. Maria belts it out beautifully with some cool delay and the guitar work Paul, is outstanding! Did I mention that you guys are really good ;-)
Beautiful. Really nice, 1st class production. The acoustic guitar sounds great and Maria's vocals are masterful on this heart breaker. Beautifully controlled blues guitar with that sweet and passionate soloing I first head on our "Little Red Guitar" collab. Man you guys are good!
Magnificent. Touches of the great Roy Orbison for me. I think Maria would have held her own with Roy and that is saying a lot. Beautifully produced, played (the acoustic sure is pretty) and sung music. As good as it gets.
Yep, Joan Jett hit me right off the bat. Man, I don't want Maria to get mad at me! Seriously, I'm a cat and dog guy so I'm with you on the sentiment. Great track and Maria belts it out powerfully. And what can I say, Paul's guitar work is stellar!
CAGE THE MONSTERS!!! ...love it!! Man did you guys blow the doors off this one. So good to hear you beltin' one out like this again Maria...kinda shades of Joan Jett style. I swear you can do about any genre. Paul's arrangement and crushing thundering guitars provide mountains of power and energy that unleash the angst that so many are feeling regarding this pathetic incident of dog abuse. I hope the perpetrators get what they have coming someday soon. You and Paul have done your part to see that that happens. This is one powerhouse rocker that sends a clear message..CAGE THE MONSTERS!
Bravo guys!!
