Life is life and should be respected. It is fragile enough as is. Peace John Unger and Schoep. Great production, lyrics and vocals Maria! Nice guitar Paul - sweet and laid back!

It is sad how neglectful people could actually listen to this, read the lyrics sung - and still be abusive to their pets. Truly a great song Maria and Paul - your vocals emphasize well - and in a cool pop rock feeling. Bravo ;)

I've always wondered why humans think they are so superior to animals, just because they can think up technology. Technology, in the end, may well be the undoing of our species. This song certainly shines a light on the sad plight of so many BSL victims and it's especially sad at Christmas, a time of supposed "kindness, compassion, and goodwill". I can understand how BSL came to be.. probably a knee jerk reaction to some situation.. but will never understand how it has continued on despite all the opposition and unfairness so very evident in breed specific legislation. The song is really well written and the arrangement is quite unique... and how you do that after writing 300 other songs I don't know. The production is stellar, with guitar parts that are so subtle and yet join together to weave an enticing, emotional web musically. I also really liked the instrumental outro, which gives the listener time to digest all that has been said. It allows the imagery of lonely, locked up

What a beautiful, touching, and heartfelt song for a gal that made such a huge difference in the lives of so many that couldn't advocate for themselves. Mary Alice was a gifted lady in so many ways and it was a pleasure and an honor to have known her and her work. This beautiful song, so well written and performed, is a honest, soulful, and befitting tribute to her. R.I.P. Mary Alice. The world was a better place while you were in it.
Awesome cuz reminds me of Lynyrd Skynyrd !!! Maria belting out them vocals wow. Awesome guitar playing and tone to the bone :)

WooHoo!...another good ol' kick ass rocker from the M&P team! Man this takes me back to the Wisdom's Tooth days. Loved the guitar tone and cool chordal progression. Maria's vocals are still top shelf ...and her lyrical abilities are always thought provoking and full of social commentary. The guitar parts on the verses have a bit of a cool punky feel and the lead takes no prisoners. Great dynamics and as usual, incredible drum programming. Perfect mix. You guys may be gettin' older but you ain't lost a thing!!

So hard to believe that there are no comments on this song yet. Not like the old days to be sure. I don't know how you guys do it...keep coming up with such excellent songs. I guess it often stems from the excellent lyrics and the melody that illuminates them. Follow that up with Paul's unbelievable great instrumental arrangements and instrumentation and frost the cake with those all pro vocals. I think what impresses me most tho is how you guys are so good at building a song and knowing just when to back off on things. The lead guitar parts are so well done..the back up vox so effective...and everything is mixed to perfection and produced so well. Wish I had the talent and the patience to do such things. Bravo on a tune so very well done!

I still find it hard to believe that this legislation was not only passed but has still never been repealed. I understand it is in effect in Canada too. With all the dog owners and lovers in these countries, one would think there would be an uprising. I can only say that if anybody ever comes for my dog, they'll be shot dead. Zeus' song hits right to the heart of the matter. The story behind the song, the lyrics, and the powerful musical arrangement all add up to yet another tragic tale of BSL bull sh** . Vocals are emotionally charged and the instrumentation carried it all home incredibly well. You and Paul are truly the voice of the voiceless...and the "powers that be" should hang their stupid heads in shame. Great job on this. I salute you!

Good hard driving song. Great guitar solo. I still like your tunes about animals the best but this is a good song none the less. As usual Maria provides souring vocals that come from way down town. thanks, Lew Dawg Cloninger, MrHillbilly49, The Stray Dawgs

WoW. I hardly know where to begin on this one. I've never heard anything quite like this. The piano toned guitar is so dark and broody and full of melancholy flavor. The lyrics are brilliant and your vocals are just stunning. The overlapping vocals is genius and gives the whole song an aura of a second presence that is there but isn't, if that makes any sense. It's very dreamlike in it's abstract connections and associations. I don't know how you guys come up with this stuff, but your fans are sure glad you do. This is totally unique and creative. Stunning. Standing ovation from me!

This is a GREAT song and thanks so much for thinking about dogs. They are the most loving creatures on the planet and have been taking care of us humans for centuries. You have a well deserved ranking (which should be even higher based on the overall sound). Lew Dawg Cloninger, The Stray Dawgs

So many emotions evoked in this story/song. Dexter, having been to hell and back, was at least one of the lucky ones who finally got to experience love and safety. The song shares the story so very well...loved the intro with that 10 note or so lick that the melody builds off of throughout. Great dynamics, lyrics full of empathy and compassion, and an arrangement that highlights them so well. Fine playing and vocals, your usual trademark. Great job guys. Dexter would lick you!
