PENDRAGON HALL
NEWS
Hi folks, can you help with this project, its massive and we really believe it can work if we can get the support needed from all the independent music sites.
Online DJs please feel free to download ANY of the pieces to use as a promotional tool.
These are the words that I have been putting around, if you could condense them and lead people to the link it would help enormously:
Hello, its been a while since I've been seen, I've been working on something really special that I could really use some help with. We need to get this idea around as many people who would [a] like the music [b] not see this as "spam" but a genuine call to all who can help to help. There is a SERIOUS need for clean water and we CAN help!
I have been working 24/7 to get a new project finished and online. It is one that is extremely close to my heart and I am glad to say its now up and running. My other incarnation 'PENDRAGON HALL ' with co-musician Bill Hall, has created and released a re-mix and re-master of some of our early African style music, [originally TRIBE by TRIBE].
The new album is called 'MUSIC 4 WATER' and we have released it online to raise money to dig a well or create a clean water supply for an African village. Here's the best bit.... we are selling high quality downloads of the ENTIRE album for just $8
The money raised will go to an organization [we are talking to TWO that can put the cash DIRECTLY into a project that we can monitor the progress of!!] that creates water wells and clean water sources for African villagers that currently have to walk miles each day with buckets to get one pail of water to last the day!
Many of the samples we used to make this come from the sample CD 'Heart of Africa' by Spectrsonics who went to many parts of Africa several years ago and recorded bits and pieces of different village choirs and instrument players releasing them as a sample CD. When I heard it I decided to gather together all the 'bits and bobs' and attempt to re-create the music as it would have been before being chopped and looped..I decided also to raise money and send it back to the land it came from, AFRICA.
It took Bill and I the best part of a year to do, during which I learned one hell of a lot about editing and keyboard playing!!
The album was created on a very primitive Cubase 16 bit system[pre VST], so its not the finest of production values, but it has a sound and charm all its own.
Here's what I'd like you to do, please go to the site below, have a listen and if you like what your hearing donate two dollars and download the album.
Then if you would be so kind as to send the link on to as many folks as you can, it will help us achieve the goal we have set...to dig a well. This is my personal 'wishing well'.
THANK YOU Here is the link to 'MUSIC 4 WATER'

Hi folks,
Here is where you will find the various works created by the team Pendragon/Hall and friends. Our work covers a lot of territory but here on this site you will find our works that float around the 'World' genres of music and sound.
Bill Hall is a master of the bass guitar and acoustic guitar who on occasion will "tinkle on the ivories" [that sounds terrible, I wonder should I re-phrase that statement LOL]
David Pendragon is also an occasional key tinkler, acoustic guitar player [Becalmed] and the twiddler of multiple knobs, dials, faders and other esoteric devices.
We hope you enjoy these works.
Now here is a 'touchy' subject.
If you listen to the pieces and enjoy them can you help US? Please just download and pay for at least one piece. We really NEED the funds. They will enable us to create more music. It will ALSO in fact help pay for these pieces [LOL].

Why this name?
It's a trick question right? David Pendragon/Bill Hall, err.....
Do you play live?
No not with this project
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's very cool to be able to play our music to people who would otherwise not hear it. We hope to use this medium a lot more
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Well....er yes
Band History:
This project came about after Bill and I worked on an album for New World Music, [a record company] That album"Tribe"by TRIBE was a multi sample World, African Asian, kinda thing. We hadn't got that vibe out of our system so we continued on making new sounds, this is the result
Your influences?
At the time Deep Forest, Paul Simon, Peter Gabriel, Enigma, SACRED SPIRIT!!
Favorite spot?
PLANET EARTH
Equipment used:
RECORDED WITH CUBASE 3.5 ON AN OLD POWERMAC,NO SOUNDCARD!!!! WE USED APPLE SOUND MANAGER!![I HAVE NO IDEA HOW WE GOT THE SOUND WE GOT]
Anything else...?
OK, A lot of what you will hear on this project works extensively with[legally owned] samples produced by Spectrasonics and other sample cds. ALL of the samples on this work are legal, to work any other way is not cool[its stealing!!] Many of the atmospheres we created ourselves, all of the instruments are us. David is doing some of the vocal and keys, Bill plays bass, acoustic guitar and some keys. Many of these samples have been used on other work's. I hope we have created something a bit different to your ears! May we meet you in the music!!
