Hi all this is AnuRakta...an amature musician who likes to compose and record songs as a hobby...i warn you nothing professional ....really! I just try my best to get the emotions and feelings expressed through my music. I have been in a band few many times before but didn't work out because of differences so I have decided to go alone now and for good and let my lone voice be heard!..Music has no language..I normally do songs in Nepali but once in a while I express my feelings in english language too ;-)
Why this name?
This is the name given by my dad who is a poet. Anurakta is a sanskrit word with Vedic root. Anurakta has many meanings some of it are as follows:
anuraktā — being attached;
anurakta — beloved;
anurakta — because of attachment;
anurakta — attracted;
"gāyanti cainam anurakta-dhiyo 'śru-kaṇṭhyo"

Do you play live?
Yeah in gatherings here and there! But in a normal basis, No! Yes I love playing live!. Special moments were when touring with my band 72nd street in Chicago and Denver a while back!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Greatly! It lets you being heard instantly with a click of the mouse! Being heard is a great thing in this noisy world! It is getting a lot harder for any one to be heard seriously now but mp3 is giving the opportunity
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yeah right! It is just my hobby now and I am pretty sure this is how I am gonna end up just as a music hobbyist..Not that I don't like to be professional but I now truely believe that life has taken its turn and I am being happy just being a hobbyist with music as my passion.
