Kevin Stephens grew up in Salem, Oregon, and still lives there. He currently attends Sprague Highschool (which he hates) as a senior. He plays the tuba, and during his junior year he qualified for the state level of the competition at the Solo and Ensemble Contest for a tuba solo, but he was unable to participate in the state competition. Hopefully he'll get to do it this year.

Kevin wants to write music, though. That's what he likes doing and so someday he hopes to make a living off of it. Or at least, off of music in general - we all know how impossible it is to live completely off of music, and to do it off of composing only is just insane. Yeah. Listen to the music, and if you like it... yay.
Do you play live?
I play at school concerts (at the end of the year I usually have a tuba solo) and at the Solo and Ensemble Competition.

If I could play the piano decently, maybe I could perform some of my stuff somewhere. Until then, I don't have any real performances.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It allows freedom to share music, and that is important.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It's possible, but I don't think the chance will ever arise.
Favorite spot?
I love anywhere as long as I'm with the right people. Of course, if I had to choose, it's all about Joryville Park. Hell yeah for unknown parks in Salem.
Equipment used:
I use the Garritan Personal Orchestra. Wonderful set of samples - the instruments are actually believable in most cases. As for sequencing, I'm using Cubasis VST but I REALLY want to move up to something better.
