Satanic ambient noise - sounds from the antichristian wonderland
Why this name?
A "Camisole de force" is a french name for a cloth designed to prevent madmen and criminals from hurting themselves and other people. I use it as a metaphor to describe my music, wich I made to safely get rid of my frustrations...
Do you play live?
I dont' have plans for this for the moment. I'd like to show something special on stage, so I guess I need more time to think about it...
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Underground projects are getting some faster recognition, since the listener has an immediate access to the music. I guess the future of music industry would be mostly virtual records and labels, so everybody will be able to share its own music even without a record deal ! The economy will totally change and creativity will rule again !
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I don't think a major label is interested in signing noise projects, 'cause noise simply doesn't sell :)
Band History:
Fonded in may 2004 in the southern part of Belgium, CAMISOLE is R. Doktor's aberrant brainchild. Starting making music with the minimal soundtrack of an underground film he produced and directed by himself - but unfortunately not available yet - R. Doktor eventually took care for the sickest of sounds only to sonorize the morbid concept every listener safely drove back in its own mind. Two demo tapes soon emerged, appealing to both death ambient heads and open-minded black-metal followers - combining haunted soundscapes à la Raison d'Etre with some hellish samples in the old Megaptera vein (Peter Nystrom's work remains truly inspirational to Camisole), but more in a gloomy and claustrophobic approach.
Always dealing with cold and haunted ambient structures, the musical direction recently became more familiar with old-school industrial shots and noisier assaults, gradually leaving the mystical ambient elements behind to go in the totalitarian tread of power electronics...
