Why are you here?
Why this name?
Kawaii is where I holiday.
Do you play live?
Nope.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes stealing chic again. Yes, Again.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It depends whether or not the deal would leave me screwed and/or penniless.
Band History:
Prototype Cute happened when I got a Powerbook. The machine was good enough to put to use my midi keyboard without a noticable lag, so I added synths to the music I was making. Basically I now have the opportunity to realise the ideas I have in a more complete manner than before.
Your influences?
At the Drive-In, Sonic Youth, m83, Daft Punk, Death Cab for Cutie, Trail of Dead, The Mars Volta, Cold Occasion, Chaser, Pavement, Sneaker Pimps, Ladytron, Her Space Holiday, The Unicorns, Pixies, Motoi Sakuraba, Akira Yamaoka, Air, Bjork, Beck, Interpol, Mogwai, The Futureheads, Cursive, Bright Eyes. Probably loads more too. Like Radiohead, they're pretty influential.
