The Fad Nacker began rapping in 1993 - with his breakthrough local hit "FAD". With his friends Bob "Bad 4 Your" Helf and Barry "Big Bad Bethel" or "Treble B" they formed a rap crew. In 1995 he met James G and James Dogg of the James Twinz and starred on their debut album, "Uzi Come Uzi Go". The next year he shot to fame with the single "I Wanna Play" and the album "Showtime".. Fad then branched into singing, before suddenly turning hardcore hip-hop for his second album "I'm Back" - announcing that he would "Live by the gun and die by the f**king G.O.N" - predicting he would die a bloody death in a shooting - - this also inspired a change in persona - calling himself Elvis he recorded the classic "Dyin'". In mid summer 1997 Fad had a change of heart and recorded many songs with different artists from all over england and america. In September 1997 Fad was shot in a Leeds nightclub... A double album of his unreleased songs was released in 1998 as a tribute - titled "I Wish I Could Survive" - - fuelling rumours that he had faked his death, 7 years later it turned out he did. (well kind of)
