I am Shibo Raamin, a member of the "Royal Priesthood", that comes out of Spirit & Truth Worship Center, Statesboro, GA
Why this name?
That information is located in the bio section of my home page... http://www.geocities.com/ShiboRa/bio2.html (or U can just surf through that site
http://www.geocities.com/ShiboRa

but my stage name might change tho... ;-)
Do you play live?
Different churches, or other outreach engagements sponsored by my church... I love the opportunity to share the deep things that God has shared w/ me, with others... this is ministry!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well there will be more opportunity for people who R 'No names' to get heard... the 'industry' is an evil, self absorbed arena, that only lets certain people in, usually those that bring in enough $$$, with no concern 2 the many people they might mislead... America's god is paper... we even have it in print... "In God We Trust"
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
That's something I'm still in prayer over... I'm getting the opportunity to talk with some pretty well known people, but I don't want to loose what God is trying 2 say through me, through what some1 else wants to hear...

Help my creativity grow, not mold me into another puppet...
Your influences?
My 1st musical influence was Prince, watching his career, I see it's best to be Urself, & not what a label wants U 2 B... regardless of where U stand, don't compromise...

Secondly, there was Bone Thugs N Harmony... I've done some songs where I was 'tongue twistin' a good bit... but from them I took the 'impress' people with how U say sum... & if U stand firlmy on what U R saying, they'll B intrigued to search out what Xactly U're sayin...

Thirdly, Eminem... He showed me that Ur style doesn't have 2 match others, just do what U do better than NE 1 would have Xpected... & also, push the envelope of what's 'normal'...

Next is my pastor, Pastor J, who helped introduce me to Christian Hip Hop... 1ce we got saved, we didn't loose the desire to enjoy ourselves, but we as representives of Christ, can have phun, but can't claim 2 B doin Hys work, promoting sin...

Now that I'm doin thys thyng 4 Jesus, my ear has picked up on Cross Movement Records camp... http://www.crossmovementrecords.com They're whole camp is fire.... my faves R :
D.A. T.R.U.T.H.
Phanatik
Ambassador
& Tonic
I'm also feelin J-Silas from Rock Soul...
But I can't 4get bout my boy W.A.T.E.R... (I rap with that guy!)
These guys Rn't just rappers, they're MINISTERS!!!

Lastly, my mom is my most important influence... She's taught me to give my all when glorifying God... because U're from 'no where' in 'no whereville' doesn't mean U can't come with 'big city' talent...

Oh yeah, & don't B upset that most of my influences R from secular artists... that's my past, & God gave it 2 me 4 a reason... but N the end, HE get's the glory ;-)
Equipment used:
This song was originally made on Fruity Loops, but revamped on a Korg Triton (I can't remember the Xact model), & recorded with Pro Tools 6.1 (I believe)
Anything else...?
"I become all things to all men that I might by all means save some... " I don't do this because I want to be the junk, or 2 become rich & famous (if those thyngs happen N the process, I would consider them blessings from God!) but I am here 4 ministry... it might not be the ministry that U're use 2... but no matter what language, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the same... whether U speak English, French, German, Ebonics, Rock, Country, or even Hip Hop...
