Why this name?
I chose my name based on mythology. Apophus was a derivative of the aincent Egyptian god "Apophis". Apophus in later mythology was known as the god of never-ending destruction, pain, and suffering.
Do you play live?
I have never played live
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet helps change the music industry because it has virtually eliminated the challenge of getting your artist/band heard in other states and countries.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Hell yeah I would sign with a major label. A major label adds recognition and a major financial backing right out of the gates. After an album or two, I would look for a consignment deal for up-and-coming artists under my lable name.
Your influences?
Although my styles don't really reflect it, my musical influences are the Wu, the Diplomats, T.I., La the Darkman, Mos Def, Mobb Deep and Pac.
Favorite spot?
the 'bellos, and Park Hill, in Denver, CO
