Video Lips was more of a conceptual band than an actual performing band that existed in the mid 1980s. The group was the "brain child" of drummer and lyricist/songwriter Joe Iannacone who passed away in 2004 after a long illness. That is Joe in the photo at the wedding of John and Julie Viola (John was also a "Video Lip").

The songs here were taken off of a vinyl EP (four song) record, and thus, explains the pops and other oddities you may notice.

For those of us who helped Joe with this project hearing these recordings again brings back some fond memories of a time when it was just plain fun to write a song and take it to the studio!
Why this name?
I'm not sure. I think it was because we were just being silly. Hmmm...I'll get back to you on this one.
Do you play live?
No. Video Lips does not exist anywhere except for on these recordings.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It enables me to bring to you some music that, otherwise, might have remained dead forever.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
With WHOM?!!!!
Favorite spot?
Sounds like maybe Alaska was a favorite place for Joe Iannacone. I know he spent some time there and reminisced about it often. (Did I spell "reminisced" right?)
Equipment used:
Yikes! I don't remember! I guess it was a multi track recorder.
Anything else...?
Yes. Rest in peace, Joey. I'm sorry I lost touch with you in the last years of your life!
