I am a singer/songwriter from Garner Texas, close to Dallas Fort Worth (Garner is the place where the domino game "42" was invented, That's Garner's only claim to fame that I know of). I've been playing music since about 1962. I've written/ and co-written a few songs, which I/we are going to be putting on the NET and am working on several more. Hope you like the style!
Why this name?
The first part came from my grandmothers maiden name the last part is my fathers sir name, but I didn’t get to choose it. It was given to me at a very, very young age. Although, I do like it.
Do you play live?
I haven't played live on a serious basis in years although I occasionally sit in if asked. I love performing on stage, It's exciting especially when the crowd is into it, I could play and sing all night. I enjoy being in my home studio pretty much these days.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think mp3 is a fantastic vehicle for sharing music and ideas without enormous file sizes to e-mail.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Oh, yeah!!!
Band History:
I grew up in Texas and as a kid Jammed with my cousins, brother and friends around the Mineral Wells Area. At age 19 thru 23 I went to California then Hawaii and back to Ca., and picked with some very interesting people. Since coming back to Texas I've been in several bands, Tejas, Spring Fever and Bounty to name a few. Presently I am solo.
Your influences?
I guess I have a wide variety of influences. Beatles, Neal Young, Eagles, Zepelin, Mark Knopler, Willie, Waylon, Merle Haggard, Alabama, Beethoven, Lynyrd Skynyrd. See what I mean?
Favorite spot?
My 10 acres in Garner Texas, Maui runs a close second.
