Strip Twister play catchy, danceable Pop Rock music with three-part harmonies. All of these songs groove! Why this name?
Uh, it was suggested by our soundman, Lance Kincaid; he said it was a Milton-Bradley game he'd always wanted to play. We thought that Strip Twister would make a fine band name. But everyone makes mistakes, eh?
Do you play live?
We used to play live a lot. All of the musicians in the band were and still are seasoned veterans of live performance, with backgrounds in Jazz as well as Rock. In concert, our songs, which are already long, would strecth out into magum dance opuses, like George Clinton's.
If you make it big..?
We didn't; we broke up as soon as we recorded the songs on this site. But songwriter Nate Butler is still going strong on SoundClick.com, mp3.com, and other music sites.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Um, hmmm, I dunno, er... um, "Music is the best."
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Hoooooo-yeah.
Your influences?
David Bowie, George Clinton, XTC, Sly & The Family Stone, Hootie & The Blowfish
Favorite spot?
The San Francisco Bay Area; I think many folks here in Fresno, California, would say the same.
Anything else...?
