Consisting of 5 members, mojque is known as a "quintet".
Why this name?
Because it's not a word in the dictionary. It's pronounced MO-WHO-KAY.
Do you play live?
We play live in Texas, mostly in the DFW area.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet and mp3s allow upcoming bands to gain exposure and increase in popularity with little cost of promotion in a corporately driven musical world.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We would be happy to sign a record deal to allow mojque's music to be heard by a mass audience.
Band History:
mojque started lackadaisically as a weekend only jam with 3 members: Brandon on rhythm guitar, Derek on lead guitar and vocals, and Peter on bass. When Derek moved, Peter and Brandon sought to complete the band with the additions of Bryan on drums and Cliff on lead guitar. Soon after, these 4 would add frontman Aaron to take over vocals. Eight months later, Bryan decided to go to college, and the search for another drummer began. mojque was fortunate enough to snag one of the best drummers available, Freddie. Thus the lineup was complete and mojque was ready to tackle the live scene with full force. Unfortunately, complications arose and the band split in December 2005. Nearly two years passed before Aaron, Cliff, and Brandon reformed in the summer of 2007 with new drummer Chris and new bassist Jake to complete the current lineup.
