It's "A Band Called Kinderfield" not just "Kinderfield..."
Why this name?
it's a constant reminder to everyone that every minute detail in a band's name is important...
Do you play live?
i don't play live... as of yet...
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
people are now listening to more music than ever before. With the internet everyone can listen to any genre of music. But the downside is, more artists are not given any credit for their music basically because anyone can just download their songs, burn it on cds and distribute illegally.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, of course. If any label out there is interested in my music, then why not? I'd be a hypocrite if I say that I don't want to.
Band History:
I have toyed around with the idea of doing my own mixes/pieces of music for a while, and then it ended up to be this electronic thing that it is today. Originally, it started out as a drum and bass project. At that time the only available equipment were a computer with a drum machine (Hammerhead) and sequencer (DDClip) installed, a Pearl Forum and a GenesiSeries Bass guitar. After a year or so, after acquiring a new computer and a set of music software (FruityLoops, Cool Edit, among other things), and getting rid of my bass guitar, it has evolved into this wonderful electronic thing that I enjoy listening to, and on top of it all making it.
Your influences?
The Cure... I've been a fan of the Cure since i was in the third grade, believe it or not. I've actually done a couple of my own versions/mixes of my favorite Cure songs.
Favorite spot?
Olongapo city...madness, i tell ya... never been so drunk anywhere else!!!
Equipment used:
i use a laptop with FLstudio and HammerHead Rhythm Station ( it's freeware!!! check it out http://www.threechords.com/hammerhead ) among other things...
Anything else...?
A Band Called Kinderfield (not Kinderfield, thank you very much..) is currently for listening puropse only. If you want to see A Band Called Kinderfield live, it may not be in the too distant future, but I will play for food, cymbals and of course, a bit of moolah won't hurt!
