Do you play live?
We play every week all over St. Louis Mo. and all over Illinois
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is one of the best ways of promotion because it allows you to put your stuff all over the world. You can also trade shows with bands anywhere...its such a great element.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We want to sign to an Indie Label....but Major wouldnt be horrible
Band History:
Aurynic made their first appearance in early 2005. Founders: RJ Amberger - drums, Wiley Johnson - vocals, Mike Bullington - guitar & Butch Farmer - bass. The four played every week for close to a year playing venues all over Illinois and Missouri including: Mugsey Mcguires, The Creepy Crawl, Vieles Planet, & The Wheaton Grand Theatre just to name a few. Upon entering the studio to record their very first full length cd they had creative differences and lost Butch and Mike. They suddenly found themselves looking for new musicians to fill the slots. They ran across 17 year old bass player Ian Provence who was very dedicated and headstrong for his age. They took him in with open arms and ready to start searching for a guitarist to take heed of their songs. After a little while with no luck lead singer and song writer Wiley decided to pick up the guitar as well as sing, until they stumbled upon former bass player of 3 Last Words Dustin Lynch. After practicing with him for a few weeks they played their first shows as a four piece again. With the album near completion and these four are tighter than ever after nearly calling it quits there is nothing holding them back from imminent success. Keep a close ear and eye for Aurynic to be taking a stage near you.
