Owl Rock Productions is a place for the eclectic, sort of divergent, musical endevours of my one man band. Usually influenced by electronica and rock, and I'll probably even upload some of my acoustic music here too, eventually.

My other SC page - SnakePitProject - is more unified, for ambient and "space music."
Why this name?
"Do you like our owl, Mr. Decker? It's artificial." - From one of the greatest flicks of all time!
Do you play live?
No way.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
We shall wee (meant to type 'we shall see,' of course, perhaps we shall do both...)
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Whaddaya mean, "major?" Not without reading the fine print. Most artists would ultimately like to find a market niche; a measure of recognition; a source for distribution. But on the other hand there's great freedom in not relying on music for money - I can do whatever I please, whenever I want to, musically. Just hard to find time. So there's pros and cons, as they say. To everything. Another of life's many perplexing conundrums. Oh well.
Band History:
Oh, its the same old story - "I heard one guitar, it just blew me away, I saw stars in my eyes, and the very next day, I bought a beat up six string..."
Your influences?
prog rock, electronica, film music, classical, jazz-rock fusion, just a bit-of-blues (a teenie morsel of a bent note here and there, to keep it real, man)
Favorite spot?
My back porch.
Equipment used:
Pro Tools Free, Acid (the software), a few guitars a rarely used bass, a little Peavey Rage 108 practice amp, a cheap keyboard, a Danelectro Daddy-O distortion pedal, a Boss DR-220A Dr. Rhythm drum machine, and caffeine (the drug).
Anything else...?
Allow me to plug my station
-->>artificialowl82'a station<<-- still under construction but I think it's pretty cool, a home for space/ambient/mellow/mid and slow tempo/electronica/slighty weird-n-occasionally trippy music.

Here I will add links to every artist on my station - (but obviously I've just begun :))
