Guillotine is a heavy metal band with many influences, mainly power/thrash/melodic death metal.
Why this name?
Just thought for a while about a good band name, and this is what we came up with. May have been a mistake, since it seems like no one can pronounce or spell it!
Do you play live?
Yeah, theres nothing like playing live.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
There are pros and cons, but overall, it can be a good thing for up and coming bands.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes
Band History:
Guillotine was formed by Daniel Tidwell and James Eric Tidwell during the summer of 2004 after their previous band had split up. Carl Moore, a bassplayer and long-time friend, joined with them. Soon after, the band found a drummer by the name of Chris Simon. They played together for awhile, but wanted to take it up a notch and practice more often. Carl put the other things in his life ahead of the band, and decided it wasn't important enough to him so he quit. Only a minor setback as the band got in touch with the bassplayer from their first band, Matt Taylor, and immediately started showing him the songs. After a while with that lineup, they felt the time was right for a vocal change, both of style and person, and in May of 2005 Brian "Taz" Berta joined with them. The band just released a new demo in July 2005 and are heavily promoting it as well as working on new music.
