Geezer is an ongoing project involving mainly myself and the "occasional musician friend-o-mine" that contribute their time for the experience and just the thrill of creating music with no borders for no financial gain whasoever.
NO, I'm not nutz! ;P

Why this name?
The name originally came from a nickname I (Guy) had been given by a drummer who played in a band I was in the 80s.
Do you play live?
I play in Rebel Wheel (http://www.therebelwheel.com/).
The material posted here I don't play live. Geezer is uniquely a recording project where influences come from several places.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Accessibility to those less fortunate; for example those with a lack of $ on both sides of the songs. But for me, mostly, a site like this enables me to be myself, not having to mould myself to a record label's ideals; or even worse, not be heard at all.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Unless this record company is into what I'm writing at the time, probably not. I'm one that could not accept being pressured to be creative for the goal of $ anyway. Also to be dictated what to create to fit a commercial demand; just not my thing. I also dispise politics; thus, I don't care much for today's radio - which means you'd probably be more apt to find me working for an independent label if asked.
Tho, if Sony called, I'd certainly would be flattered :)

Your influences?
I guess I like a little bit of everything, tho some in serious moderation. I guess my heart is into mostly fusiony things. A mixture between new age, hard rock/metal, jazz and progressive rock. ie: music that you could put an image to that is done tastefully.
Favorite spot?
My favorite place is in my studio at home; I feel secure there and can be myself. I'm not one for the night life too much, unless I'm on stage somewhere.
I've travelled very little; but I would like to visit Europe someday if I can ever muster the gutz to board a plane for the 1st time :O

Anything else...?
Some of the recordings (especially in the 2000 era), were recorded in mono due to a lack of gear at the time. The comps (IMO) are still interesting musically tho.
I hope you enjoy my humble snippets; I could never get it together to compose a disc for myself - always for other projects, but this is close enough for this ol-guy.
Thank you very much for listening! :) -- GuyD
