Lemon Scented Dirt or LSD for short is a 3-piece indie/progressive rock band from Madras, Oregon. We have around 20 songs and are currently recording our first cd entitled "Is This Really All There Is?"
Why this name?
Our bands name comes from a Modest Mouse lyric in the song "Medication." It says "You can't clean dirt so we'll just lemon scent it."
Do you play live?
Living in a small town makes it exceedinly difficult to get shows because there is no live music scene especially for indie rock. When we do play it is usually in my garage and we've packed up to 50 people in there at a time before. Live shows are what we pretty much do this for. We like to jam or do extremely unexpected cover songs at live shows. It keeps things interesting.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We would sign with a major label even though it could be more trouble then its worth.
Band History:
We started jamming for fun in January of '04 and became an actual band a month later.
Goat plays Guitar and sings.
Cory plays guitar and does background vocals.
Josh/MachoChill plays drums.
