Tortured Spirit is a Doom Metal Band from Germany! We do it the traditional way since march 2004!
Why this name?
It has to do with the state of mind and soul a man or woman can be in sometimes
Do you play live?
Yeah. Palying live is fun although we are not the best live band on this planet! But I guess noone bangs as hard and fast to such slow music as our bassist MB! So if you ever have the chance, please come and check us out.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think sites like soundclick.com are helpful as we see mp3s as a good way to promote a band. It can me problematic as well but we do not care. If we like something and have the money to buy it, we buy it!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No! I guess not but we have not discussed the possibility yet! But what major label would sign such an ungly and fat band anyway?
Band History:
We are a young band and not much happened in our short band life. Just a little songwriting, rehearsing, some month of doing nothing due to circumstances we could not control, and of course recording our first demo Broken Soul which is still available. We played soem gigs including support for German Heavy Weight Thrash Masters Steel Death and our brohters in Doom Wall Of Sleep from Hungary. More to coem for sure!
