Hello. Digital_Spectrum is a work in progress - as with any band - but to the extent that I've been working on songs since 1998 and still don't consider any of it finished. I started writing out of my own need for new industrial dance music (I get bored easily). Nearly all of my music is instrumental with the hopes of adding (or just getting the balls to do) lyrics. Also, everything I do is programmed and sequenced in computer software. I hope to also some day port this to a live-playable performance.
Why this name?
I do artwork under the name of Analog_Spectrum and it only seemed natural to write music under the name DIGITAL_SPECTRUM.
Do you play live?
As above, I don't/can't play live yet, but hope to some day. I did do an experimental performance with a couple friends at Liquid Cafe', Ft Myers in 2003. The two friends I performed with collaborate on a project called Vortek Syndicate; however, that project is also in the works.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has done wonders for bands that normally would never have had exposure.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Maybe. Depends on the amount of control I would have on my work.
