B.S.I.,or By-Products Of the Stratus Initiative, was formed around 1999 by Jay Lewis and The Spaced Haitian.
As a Duo, the band recorded it's first 4-song Demo in 1999-2000 called Spatial Demographics
The band has a sound that draws upon early Pink Floyd,Krautrock,Aural Sculpture,and Freeform Improv.
In 2003, the band added Rick Horton (BraceFace,Pupil Mover,Phonetic Plumbing) on Drums, and Robert Sherber Jr. on Bass Guitar
The band is working on writing for its next demo, and does play every now and then around South Florida.
