Why this name?
My name was chosen because alot of my friends used to call me burd for a nickname and some called me blak, so I added blak to it when I began rapping. Thus making me Blakburd.
Do you play live?
Yes i do perform live shows at different venues and clubs along the southeast. I love doing live shows, especially when I get the crowd crunk. It's one of the greatest feelings of being an artist.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Yes I do believe that the internet changes the music industry because it gives the artists more options for getting their music out to different genre of fans and more.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would like to sign a major distibution deal with a major company. Reason being is because I have the ability and the experience to make music on my own.

Your influences?
My musical influences stretch from motown r&b,to oldschool rap, to westcoast flavor, and even from names such as Tupac, Rakim, Run DMC, and Outkast. I also can't forget about TI, Ludicris, and Snoop Dog.
Favorite spot?
My favorite city is Atlanta.
Equipment used:
I use mostly Triton and Yamaha keyboards along with big bottoms for my tracks.

Alot of people are just starting to give props to many artists coming from the south. I just want to say don't sleep me and my comrades because we are coming. Oh yeah we got something to say too!!!
