The Musica Ficta Choral Ensemble is a mixed choir that perform a cappella repertoire. It is especially involved in Renaissance and modern music. The director of the group is Andrea Angelini but the choir has sung under the baton of the most important directors in the world as Peter Phillips and others.
Why this name?
The name come from the Renaissance age. In fact, one of the antecedents of the new style, which emerged around the beginning of the sixteenth century, was the ancient practice of musica ficta, the vocal application of accidentals in melodic lines where none were indicated.
Do you play live?
Yes, we perform many concert at year. We do like it!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Now it's possible, for all the bands, to diffuse their own artistic works.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
