Well, my father used to call me that when I was little cause of the movie "Top Gun", after awhile it faded, but the name has come back to me on several occasions. I guess it was just meant to be or something. Besides I've tried being in different rap groups or with partners, but it neva works out, and people say I have an original style. And since Maverick means a leader, doesn't follow others, nothing can suit me better...
