A-S-S-A-N-Y-N-E
You may not be ready for Assanyne, but you will be. Songs range in variety from mixtape type songs, to originals, to some whole nother other stuff. Lyrics drive most of the songs and have a natural attraction to the beat they are on. Most of the groups production, composing, and arranging done by DJ Prodigy and Digital Phil.
Why this name?
Cause it is Assanyne that we even do this.
Do you play live?
Not much live work done yet but hoping to start that once the new CD is finished this spring.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it has opened up a fan base that some indie or underground acts would never been able to touch out the back of trunk. You can now have people around the world hear you and you don't even have to be famous.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
The only thing I turn down is my shirt collar.
Band History:
The group is ever changing still hoping to find the perfect mix. We have been toying with the idea of more live insturments. Three main lyricists, with one DJ, who have been friends since Junior High.
Your influences?
This could be a long list. We love music and one big part of Assanyne is just doing things that you dont expect and being Assanyne. We have a song made around a sample of The Grand Funk Railroad. But we are all Hip Hop Heads, Kanye West, Eminem, Jay-Z, Atmosphere, Unknown Prophets,

Acid Pro 4.0, Mixmaster Studio Pro, Fruity Loops, Mics, turntables, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, drum machine, basic drum set, anything we can make a sound out of and record it.
