Max & Sue Hill, known as "Continental Divide", have been playing music in the Colorado Springs area for many years.
Max has played in local bands since his teens.
Eventually, Max became lead guitarist for the Legend Band, a top Colorado Springs act.
Sue studied classical piano as a young child and was introduced to country music when she began playing with Max and his band. They have been writing and playing music ever since!
For our fellow musicians: Max plays a Gibson Dove, and Fender Big Apple Stratocaster. Sue plays a Yamaha piano. The recording was made on a Roland VS-1880. If you would like more information please feel free to email us!

Why this name?
The name "Continental Divide" was chosen many years ago...our band wanted to play half 50's/60's and county western...everybody came up with names and submitted them, this one seemed to fit.
Do you play live?
Max & Sue are available for bookings in the Colorado Springs and surrounding areas. We like to play mostly private partys, office partys and weddings. Our true passion is songwriting and recording.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is very helpful for the independent artists. It also is a great way for music lovers to develop their culture and to enjoy the "fine art" of music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
LOL-Perhaps we are both a little to old for that, but still enjoy making good music for our fans.
Your influences?
Our musical influences are Merle Haggard, Ray Price, Hank Thompson, Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Don Williams, Rich Obrien, Tom Morrell....etc.
Favorite spot?
My favorite spot is the small cabin we built in the mountains a few years back...great for hiking and songwriting and just plain goofing off.
Anything else...?
