We are a four piece band hailing from Bangladesh. Influenced by everything ranging from blues to metal to jazz, we try to write songs that are simple yet melodic.

Urfi: songs and guitars. His day job is as Advertising Guru at Grey Worldwide Bangladesh. Other than that, he shaves his head, wears purple and maroon flared pants, and dreams of the day when he actually purchases those gloriously outrageous platform shoes that used to adorn the feet of latter day rock monsters Kiss (the main problem in purchasing said shoes is that they can't be found in Bangladesh).

Taamer: vocals. A poet whose love for the blues has forsooth made him leave the pursuit of a straitlaced Bachelors of Business Administration degree for the shores of the employed. A published writer, he's the man with the blues in his heart wishing he had a sandpaper in his throat.

Newton: bass. He has recently joined the banking profession and does not show up for practise all that often on account of being slave-driven. But that is about to change very soon.

Tupa: vocals (Purple's Blues and Brave). The second errant band-member (after Newton), she's a hard person to pin down on account of her celebrity status - model, teacher, choreographer, writer . . . whatnot. But it may be hoped that she will contribute her wonderful talents to all future projects.
Why this name?
The band was named by Taamer. We wanted a Bengali name (we were previously called Purple Planz) and Biloy rolled off the tongue quite nicely. We thought it meant 'rhythmless'. It actually means 'storm'.
Do you play live?
We love to play live. If you consider cries of 'baldy' to be special, well, there you have it!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Yes it most certanly does. Access to music has never been so easy! Though the downside is artists not getting their dues . . .
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depending on if they allowed us to retain our vision of how we want our music to be.
Band History:
We started out as Purple Planz and evolved into Biloy after vocalist Tupa left the band. We won the best regional band award at the Benson&Hedges Star Search Battle Of The Bands. Currently working on our album.
Your influences?
Very very diverse.
Favorite spot?
NYC - the sheer cosmopolitanism and diversity just bowls me over.
