Hello. We are Twist and Iqleos, nice to meet you.
Why this name?
The way we chose our name is Iqleos is one half and Twist is the other. I beleive that is enough of an explanation because the music should explain the names better.
Do you play live?
We play live in central NY at parties and are currently booking club shows.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the internet and mp3 have improved the music industry by giving truly extraordinary artists the possibility to get their music to the masses.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
The only labels we would consider signing are Def Jux, BattleAxe, Rhymesayers, Suburban Noize, Anticon, or any established underground label.
Band History:
We began writing together four years ago and haven't stopped since. We share a passion for all types of music, so instinctively as musicians we melded styles quite well.
Your influences?
Underground Rap, Abstract Rap, Oldschool Rap. Rap worth listening to these days is generally split by different record labels. Def Jux, BattleAxe, Rhymesayers, Suburban Noize, Anticon, Quannum, Okayplayer, etc.
Favorite spot?
The spot in our minds where all of our music comes from.
Equipment used:
Loop-based music programs, keyboards, bass guitar, acoustic guitar, didjerido, assorted percussion, drum machines, and anything we can get our hands on that makes noise.
