The band is just me (Matt), I arrange, perform and record traditional Irish music. I play guitar (6 and 12 string), fiddle, mandolin, bhodran, other hand drums (e.g. dumbek , djembe), vocals, tin whistle and anything else with strings I can get my hands on. I record on my PC using CakeWalk.
The tracks I have published here are really just to test the water, to see if anyone likes what I produce. If I get positive feedback, I will record some more. So leave a message if you like it!
Why this name?
It just came to me in a flash of inspiration ;-)
Do you play live?
I am not currently gigging, as I don't have enough pairs of hands! If people like what I upload, then I might think about forming a 'proper' band.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I hope that in the future, the majority of music will be delivered (legally) via the internet.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No.
