Here I Am
Hi there - We are BATS FROM THE WOOD, and if you've ever been to the Alternative section here on SoundClick you will probably say:
"Hey, you have almost exactly the same bandname as those other guys, what'sitcalled.. ah yes BATS IN THE HEAD."
And we would be forced to admit "..uh that's because we're almost exactly the same band."
"How's that?"
Well, one evening the three of us (Johann von Ciriacywantrup, Kirstin Target and Walter Greimers) were working on new songs and suddenly the idea emerged that our rock songs would sound pretty good with just two acoustic guitars and a voice. And yes, they did.
So we decided to give it a name but still "keep it in the family".
And thus it is, that we are two bands.
Both actively working, playing and recording.

Why this name?
Since we are sort of an acoustic (hence wood) splinter-group Johann came up with the idea to merge the original bandname with the album title "Songs From The Wood" (Jethro Tull).
Do you play live?
Yes, we do play live. And it's quite a relief not having to haul amplifiers, hardware, flightcases and stuff.
If you make it big..?
Well, that would be nice, wouldn't it?
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
You're here, and we are here and maybe the industry is here, too.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If it's a fair deal.
Band History:
I'm afraid we don't have much of a history.
We had the idea, and now we have an album.
It's called ":hardcore" (no, that's not a typo) and it's very good.

Everything from Jethro Tull to Ani DiFranco and from Robert Fripp to Peter Finger.
